The NGXASI advanced by 0.28% to close at 202,584.88 pts as gains recorded in FIRSTHOLDCO (+5.83%), SEPLAT (+4.95%) and GTCO (+3.20%) drove the Nigerian equities market into the positive region.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note. As a result, the Average T-Bills yield fell by 4bps to settle at 17.57%. Meanwhile, the FGN Bond secondary market traded on a tepid note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained the same to close at 15.92%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira advanced by 1.07% to close at NGN 1,371.82/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 13.32% to close at USD94.72pb.
