United Bank for Africa Plc has announced its appointment as a collecting bank by the Abuja Geographic Information System to receive all revenue payments on behalf of the agency from the general public through an electronic collection platform known as UBA Global Bank Collect.

The AGIS is an agency under the Ministry of Federal Capital Territory, established as a computerised Geospatial data infrastructure and a one-stop shop for all land matters for the FCT.

It also facilitates land acquisition and collects all land-related revenue for the FCT .

According to Regional Bank Head, Abuja Bank, Mr. Dan Okeke, the new electronic collection platform is poised to completely eradicate the agency’s old manual system of processing land application request, which is considered administratively high in cost, cumbersome and time consuming for reconciliation and audit purposes.

He said that the UBA Global Bank Collect was a web-based, in–branch and inter-bank e-collection platform that helped to effectively render customised collection service on behalf of organisations to their cherished customers worldwide.
