Intercontinental Bank gets CBN’s clearing awards

Intercontinental Bank Plc has won the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Clearing House awards for 2010.

It emerged the Best Clearing Bank, Most Error Free Settlement and Punctual Bank in Akure, Ilorin and Makurdi zones, a statement from the bank on Saturday said.The statement said the bank won the awards after CBN’s critical assessment of transactions by banks for the year 2010.

The bank’s Akure representative, according to the statement, also won the Best Dressed Male Clearing House Award, lending credence to its renewed determination to excel in all business frontiers.

The bank in accepting the CBN awards, commended its numerous customers for making the feat possible, promising to continuously delight them with efficient customer-friendly products and services.

According to the statement, the management of the bank at its just concluded annual management seminar, had initiated strategic deliverables to reposition its service delivery and improve its bottom-line.

The Group Managing Director/ Chief Executive of the bank, Mr. Mahmoud Alabi, had hinted that the future of the bank would be strategically linked with a new retail banking model that would set the pace in the banking industry.
