Experts advise Nigerians on global investment opportunities

FGNInvestment experts have said that learning about global markets and economic trends through education will afford Nigerians the opportunity to diversify their investment portfolios and to compete effectively in an ever globalised world.

Describing Nigeria as an emerging market with lots of potentials, the experts at a workshop titled, ‘Learn to trade and invest in global markets’ held in Lagos on Saturday advised that trading and investments in global equities, precious metals, foreign exchange would further empower the people and improve their chances in mitigating adverse effects caused by current and future global events.

The workshop featured investments experts, which included the Managing Director, Market Trader Academy, Mr. Amro Zakaria and Chief Business Development Officer, World Wide Markets Limited, Mr. Steven Santamouris, who are veterans of Wall Street with 14 and 17 years experience respectively.

Zakaria said, “The workshop will enable Nigerians to learn in real time how these markets work, why they are so heavily traded and how they can participate in them.”

MTA’s Africa Director, Mr. Sunday Edisi, said that members of the MTA community would have unlimited access to the institute’s events which was a valuable opportunities for traders to interact with renowned and sought-after traders and financial professionals.

Santamouris urged Nigerians to ensure that they were armed with a true and detailed understanding of how the FX Brokerage business operated from the inside out.

He described WWM partnership with the Market Trader Academy as strategic, saying it would provide the Academy with necessary technical expertise for traders to navigate the volatility of the markets through knowledge of those markets as well as risk management strategies.
