Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-Gas servicing company, BOC Gases Nigeria Plc said on Wednesday it has appointed Abiodun Olabode Alabi as the new chairman of the company’s board of directors.
BOC Gases said in an issuer’s announcement with the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Alabi succeeded David Akinbola Akintola who retired after the company’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on 11 June 2015.
According to the gas servicing company, Alabi is a chartered accountant and holds B.Sc degree in accounting with first class Honours from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1977. He is an alumnus of the London Business School, Oxford University, UK, Management Centre Europe Brussels and the Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.
The company says Alabi has experience spanning 36 years in manufacturing, banking and audit, the last being the Executive Director, Finance of the Bank of Agriculture Limited. “He is currently serving on the board of several companies in the country,” BOC Gases affirmed
Share price of BOC Gases at the end of trading on the Nigerian bourse declined 4.89 percent to N4.86 from N5.11 losing 0.25 kobo per share.
