Coleman Technical Industries Opens 7 & 8 up to ₦10 Billion Commercial Paper Issuance

Coleman Technical Industries Limited’s (“Coleman” or “CTIL” or the “Company”) up to ₦10 billion Series 7 & 8 Commercial Papers (“CP”) is NOW OPEN and scheduled to close on Friday 17th February 2023

Coleman Technical Industries Limited is a 100% indigenously owned private limited liability company incorporated in Nigeria, with the principal activity of manufacturing of electrical wires and cables that meet international standards for Oil, Commercial and Residential Industries. CTIL was founded on the principles of developing local industries that would in turn create employment opportunities through the production of good quality products. The Company has evolved to be one of the largest producers of cables and wires in West Africa, and the clear and distinct market leader of the cables and wires industry in Nigeria. Coleman, a well-recognized brand and entity, has consistently delivered strong financial performance over the years, with the Company recording a year-on-year revenue growth of 92%, and 250% increase in profit before tax (“PBT”) for the year ended 2021.

Coleman has now commenced the production of fibre-optic Cables, following the opening of its new c.US$70Million fibre-optic cable factory (the “factory”). The factory is the first of its kind in the West Africa region and only the fifth in Africa. It is expected that the factory will help develop the digital economy of the country and the West African region, placing Nigeria as the fifth largest producer of fibre-optic cables in Africa. The factory with a production capacity of 162,000 metric tons per annum, will provide the opportunity for the Issuer to actively participate in the African continental free trade area, and thus, boost issuer’s earnings, conserve foreign exchange, promote technology transfer, as well as generate direct and indirect employment to the local populace.
