NGXASI Dips -0.15% on Selloffs in Banking Stocks

The NGXASI declined by 0.15% today to close at 115,258.77pts, as the selloff in banking stocks including ACCESSCORP (-8.28%), ZENITHBANK (-6.37%) and UBA (-5.67%) drove the local bourse into the red terrain.
 
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a positive note, largely due to buy pressure observed across the benchmark curve. As such, Average T-Bills yield declined by 2bps to close at 20.62%. Conversely, the FGN Bond market traded on a flattish note as the Average FGN Bond yield remained unchanged to close at 18.84%.
 
At the NFEM window, the Naira appreciated by 0.30% to close at NGN1,544.63/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) settled lower by 3.42% to USD71.69pb.
