Lagos (INVESTADVOCATE)-The Nigerian Stock Exchange all-share index (NSEASI) as at midday Friday is up +1.36 percent on gains across sectors.
InvestmentOne update reports that market movers are insurer, Royal Exchange Assurance Plc and Ikeja Hotels Plc; both are up +10.00 percent and +9.70 percent apiece, while Mutual Benefit Assurance Plc and Wapic Insurance Plc are down -8.00 percent and -6.82 percent each.
In terms of sector performances, the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Industrial and Banking sectors have appreciated +1.50 percent and +1.13 percent respectively, while the Oil & Gas sector have gained +0.75 percent respectively, the Consumer Goods is up by +0.21 percent.
InvestmentOne reports that market activity in Friday’s early trade, shows that total volume and value jumped 220 percent and 57 percent compared to this time on Thursday as investors have exchanged about 307 million units of shares worth about N1.81 billion.
Insurer, Axa Mansard Insurance Plc is the most actively traded stock with 94 million units of shares accounting for about 31 percent of total volume.
“Likely close: In the absence of a significant loss in DANGCEM, the market may close up today if the gains across all sectors continue,” the InvestmentOne update added.
