MIDDAY UPDATE: Nigerian Stocks Up +0.10%, Boosted by Industrial Counters

Market movers: REDSTAREX (+9.80%), UNITYBNK (+1.79%)WAPIC (-10.00%), and CHAMS (-4.76%).

Sector Performances: Industrial (+0.37%)Oil & Gas (-0.15%), Consumer Goods (-0.09%) and Banking (-0.03%).

Market activity: In today’s early trade, total volume and value rose by 31% and 90% respectively, compared to this time yesterday, as investors have traded about 88million units of shares worth approximately N1.99billion. ZENITHBANK is the most actively traded stock thus far with about 30million units of shares accounting for about 34% of the total volume.

Likely close: In the absence of significant losses in the prices of DANGCEM and MTN, the market may close up today if the gains in Industrial names persist.
