MIDDAY UPDATE: Nigerian Stocks Inch Up +0.24% Boosted by Banking, Industrial Counters

Market movers:   MANSARD (+6.36%), FBNH (+5.97%), ETERNA (-9.98%) and UACN (-9.43%).

Sector Performances:  Banking (+0.90%), Industrial (+0.02%), Consumer Goods and Oil & Gas (-0.10%).

Market activity: In today’s early trade, total volume and value dipped by about 41% and 25% compared to yesterday as investors have traded about 164million units of shares worth N2.17billion. ZENITHBANK  is the most actively traded stock thus far with about 38million units of shares accounting for about 23% of the total volume.

Likely close: In the absence of significant losses in the prices of DANGCEM and MTN, the market may close up today if the buy interest in the Banking and Industrial sectors persist.
