The NGXASI advanced by 2.01% today to close at 124,446.80pts, as the gains printed in MTNN (+9.86%), ZENITHBANK (+7.46%) and UBA (+10.00%) drove the domestic equities market into the positive zone.
In the fixed income space, the Treasury Bills secondary market traded on a bullish note on the back of the buying pressure observed across the benchmark curve. Consequently, the Average T-Bills yield decreased by 27bps to close at 19.08%. In the same vein, the FGN Bond market traded on a positive note as the Average FGN Bond yield fell by 27bps to 16.92%.
At the NFEM window, the Naira depreciated by 0.34% to close at NGN1,525.98/USD. Crude oil price (Brent) declined by 2.04% to trade at USD68.76pb.
