IMF, Fiji to Co-host a High-Level Dialogue on Building Resilience to Natural Disasters and Climate Change in the Pacific

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the Government of Fiji will co-host a high-level Dialogue in Suva on April 7, 2017. The Dialogue on “Building Resilience to Natural Disasters and Climate Change in the Pacificwill build on previous conferences held in Samoa and Vanuatu and recent IMF analytical work on this topic (http://www.imf.org/external/np/pp/eng/2016/110416.pdf). It will bring together leading policy makers from 13 Pacific Island nations, as well as representatives from regional development partners, international financial organizations and think tanks. The high-level event will be opened by Hon. Voreqe Bainimarama, Prime Minister of Fiji.
