MIDDAY UPDATE: Nigerian Stocks Up -0.04% on Gains Across Sectors

Market movers: UPL (+10.00%), COURTVILLE (+9.76%), UNITYBNK (-3.51%) and WEMABANK (-2.67%).

Sector Performances: Consumer Goods (+0.38%)Oil and Gas (+0.27), Industrial (+0.08%) and Banking (-0.19%).

Market activity: In today’s trade, total volume and value decreased by 76% and 74% respectively compared to this time yesterday, as investors have traded about 87million units of shares worth N1.03billion. FBNH (-0.40%) is the most actively traded stock thus far with about 18million units of shares accounting for about 20% of the total volume.

Likely close: In the absence of significant losses in the prices of DANGCEM and MTN, the market may close in the green territory today if the gains in most sectors persist.
