In today’s trade, market breadth index was neutral with 19 gainers against 19 losers.
AIRTELAFRI (+10.00%) was the top gainer while CADBURY (-10.00%) led the losers today
MULTIVERSE (+5.00%) was the most actively traded stock with about 57million units of shares worth about N11million.
Sector Performances
- NGX Banking Index: Rose by 1.32%, due to the buy interest recorded in ETI (+9.55%), STERLNBANK (+3.12%), and UBA (+1.23%).
- NGX Industrial Index: Fell by 1.89%, on the back of losses printed in BUACEMENT (-4.76%).
- NGX Oil and Gas Index: Declined by 0.59%, due to the losses recorded in ETERNA (-3.94%) and OANDO (-1.05%).
- NGX Consumer Goods Index: Fell by 0.39%, due to the sell pressure witnessed in CADBURY (-9.47%), CHAMPION (-7.84%) and PZ (-2.86%).
