MIDDAY UPDATE: Nigerian Stocks Dip -0.19% on Losses Across Sectors

Market movers: NIGERINS (-10.00%), LEARNAFRCA (-9.79%), ROYALEX (+10.00%) and GUINEAINS (+10.00%).

Sector Performances: Banking (-0.60%), Industrial (-0.39%), Consumer Goods (-0.21%) and Oil and Gas.

Market activity: In today’s trade, total volume and value decreased by 8% and 6% respectively, compared to this time yesterday, as investors have traded about 107million units of shares worth N1.10billion. TRANSCORP (+0.88%) is the most actively traded stock thus far with about 17million units of shares accounting for about 16% of the total volume.

Likely close: In the absence of significant gains in the prices of DANGCEM and MTNN, the market may close southwards today if the losses printed across major sectors persist.
