In today’s trade, market breadth index was broadly negative with 21 losers against 9 gainers.
MULTIVERSE (+9.76%) led the gainers, while INTBREW (-9.09%) was the top loser today.
GTCO (-0.85%) was the most actively traded stock with about 71 million units of shares worth about N1.26 billion.
Sector Performances
· NGX Banking Index: Declined by 2.58%, due to the losses recorded in ACCESSCORP (-5.59%), FIDELITYBK (-4.89%), UBA (-3.57%) and ZENITHBANK (-3.50%).·
· NGX Consumer Goods Index: Fell by 0.41%, as a result of the depreciation seen in the prices of INTBREW (-9.09%) and VITAFOAM (-4.53%).
· NGX Oil and Gas Index: Contracted by 0.34%, driven by the declines recorded in OANDO (-2.08%) and ETERNA (-0.32%).
· NGX Industrial Index: Closed flat.
